1956
Arcomet or “Ateliers de Constructions Métallurgiques” was founded by Karel Theyskens.

1968
Design & construction of VK19, the first gantry crane.

1987
Start of service department and rental fleet, long-term vision becomes clear.

1995-1996
Opening of rental branches in Berlin, Germany and Den Bosch, Netherlands.

2000
Acquisition of Lafont & Cie, a rental company in Montpellier, South of France. Acquisition of BKL GmbH, a rental company in Cologne, Germany. Opening of a rental joint venture (50-50) in Italy.

2003
Opening of rental joint venture (50-50) in the UK. Opening of rental joint venture (50-50) in the US.

2004-2005
Preparing branches for further growth. Further growth of safety oriented services within the group by creating a fully equipped “quality centre”. Arcomet orders a first batch of 230 new Potain tower cranes. Arcomet opens a new branch in Toulon, France and Arcomet Tower Cranes in London, UK. Arcomet starts up Midland Cranes in London, UK.

2006
Arcomet doubles its fleet of cranes in the US to 100 cranes.

2007
Opening of branches in Romania, Scandinavia.

2008
Start up of Arcomet Asia in Singapore, Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

2009
Fine tuning of logistical centres for further optimalization of service.

2014
Restructuring and reorienting for the future. 

2015
Launch of new model A47 Eco City, new investments in tower cranes, new branch in Niemegk (Germany).
